Webcasting Test Page

On this web page you will be able to test if your computer is capable of receiving webcasts.
To view the full webcast, your network connection should support a download speed of 384 Kbps or better.
To check your network connection, please follow this link to a broadband speed testing page:
http://www.broadbandspeedchecker.co.uk/(note, this page will open in a new window).

IMPORTANT: If you are using firewall software, please open port 1755. Contact your IT support if you don't know how to do this.

FOR USERS OF INTERNET EXPLORER:
If this is your first time to view a webcast you may get a message saying tht you may "need to run an add-on, click here to run it." Please follow the instructions on that message.

Alternatively all you may see is a small box with a red "X" in it instead of a video player. If this is the case, you need to enable the ActiveX control. Please follow the instructions on this link (note: will open in a new window)

If you have all the proper plugins and add-ons, you should now see a video playing below. You will be viewing the live video stream, so you may see be seeing either a test card or an "Exterity" logo if a webcast is not taking place. Also, if you are seeing the Exterity logo, there will be no audio present.

After viewing a few minutes of the webcast stream, you may close this window. If you were able to view the video, then your computer is capable of receiving our live webcast.
If you can see the video but you can not hear anything then check that your speakers or headphones are properly connected and that your volume controls have the volume turned all the way up.

IMPORTANT: You must close or exit this page before viewing the live webcast. Otherwise you may hear echoing of audio which will make it hard to understand what the speaker is saying.
For users of Mozilla Firefox:

If you are using Mozilla Firefox in the Windows Operating System you may need to download the Windows Media Player for FIrefox plugin from this link: http://port25.technet.com/pages/windows-media-player-firefox-plugin-download.aspx

For Macintosh Users :

If you are using an Apple Macintosh Computer with OS X, we suggest that you download and install the Silverlight Player. You can do that by accessing this page.
